from minister to missionary
After 30 years in pastoral ministry, and a year of waiting and praying, God has opened a new door for us with the Centurion Project and Every Ethne ministries. While we never expected anything like this, I am now a missionary to pastors, especially of military churches like the one I pastored for almost 20 years.
My mission
I believe God’s mission for my life is equipping and empowering church leaders through sound theological training and personal spiritual development so that their churches authentically advance the Kingdom of God.
empowering Ft. Bragg Pastors
God has given me a wealth of experience pastoring military personnel that He can use to encourage and equip pastors in the Ft. Bragg area. Whether I’m teaching them from what we did right—or warning about where we messed up—I believe God has prepared me to be an asset to the Centurion Project, churches around Fort Bragg, and maybe even churches all along the military highway.
Training Latin american church leaders
God has opened doors for me to train pastors and church leaders with IBAC (Institutos Bíblicos de las Américas y el Caribe). An estimated 80% of Latin American pastors have no theological training. Traveling to Latin America 2-3 times a year, my teaching can be part of the solution. Also, in the next year or two, the plan is for me to begin overseeing a Bolivian IBAC site that focuses exclusively on pastors.
And in a great example of combining opportunities, I’ll be helping Ft. Bragg area pastors and military personnel prepare to work with IBAC. This is a great way to train Hispanic pastors and military church leaders at the same time.

Giving
One part of being missionaries is we will need to raise our support for this exciting endeavor. Following this link will take you to our donation page where you can give a one-time donation or pledge a recurring gift. You can contact me at steve.davis@everyethne.org if you have any questions or would like to learn more.
FAQ
Will you be moving?
No. The Centurion Project focuses on churches in the Ft. Bragg area, so we can maintain our current base of operations.
Will Kim still be teaching?
Yes, at least for another year or two. I get my insurance through her work, so until we can both be on Medicare, she’ll keep teaching. Of course, she’ll find ways to help out the ministry as she can (which is a lot).
What About your phd?
My Centurion Project focus for 2026 is to complete my dissertation and raise the majority of our support.
