Community in a Box

Maintaining a sense of community and staying connected is difficult in normal times. These are not normal times. So Spout Springs Church is introducing “Community in a Box”, a way to actually worship together and maintain a sense of community no matter what is going on around us.

Introduction

This first video introduces the concept (and where the name originated).

Nuts-And-Bolts

So, you’re interested in being part of, maybe even leading, a Community in a Box. How does it work? Well, here are the Nuts-and-Bolts of Community in a Box.

  • Joining or setting up a community
  • Deciding your risk factors and what type of group to join
  • Using the Zoom App for online community
  • Utilizing the Groups App for group organization

Best Way to Watch Online

There are lots of ways to watch online. This is the best one, as well as how to take advantage of the other resources we provide. (If you’re in a hurry, here’s a shortcut to the best place to watch.)

Taking Communion Online

The Lord’s Table is an important part of worship. If you’d like to create your own private Communion table like we do in the auditorium, feel free to do so. God’s not going to get mad.

Also, we are occasionally going to take Communion with our entire online community. Here are some instructions for those weeks.
